An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck the confederate seashore of Papua, Indonesia, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said connected Wednesday.

The quake was astatine a extent of 1.24 miles and was astir 114 miles southwest of Nabire, Indonesia, EMSC said.
